Distinctive in our mode of operation is the independence of our mechanics. They are the ones you discuss your problems or questions with. Because of their level of experience they often find a direct solution or advice, which they also quickly execute. We have short lines of communication in our company, which gives us the chance to offer quick results with no additional costs.
MF Börger is part of a group that consists of three companies. The sister companies are Jansen & Heuning in Groningen (specialized in bulk handling equipment) and the Polish production company ZM Charbrowo.
MF Börger is also a recognized educational company for the metalectro. Students are guided by certified instructors in practice. They follow a technical training through the guided profession way or follow the actual guided professional track. One of these educational institutes of which we works with closely is the MSO in Groningen. Regularly we have job opportunities for students who want work in our company during their education.
We take professionalism seriously
MF Börger cares about quality. All of our employees are skilled, VCA certified and systematicly receive extra training. We always work to increase the quality of our proces and the safety and environment play central roles in the way that we work. MF Börger is involved in a variety of local initiatives, as well as branch intiatives and activities. Currently we possess over a VCA certificate as well as an ISO 9001 certificate. The VCA is for our mode of operation in areas of safety, health and enivornment. The ISO 9001 certificate we received for our clear descriptions of our processes.
70 years of experience
MF Börger has existed for 70 years. In all of these years we have created a lot of experience with all aspects of machines and metal construction. Additionally, our specific knowledge in a few branches has grown tremendously. Over the last decades, we have focused on service and maintenance.
MF Börger was founded in 1945 in Martenshoek (near Hoogezand) as ‘Machinefabriek Börger and Kleine’, by J. Th. Börger as one of the founders. He used to work in the Groninger sugar factory. Since 1948 the company was situated at the Van Neckstraat, next to the Winschoterdiep, which is still an important shipbuilding area in The Netherlands.
Originally MF Börger mainly worked in the agricultural industry. This is still accurate to this day, however the company is now also active in ship-building, the paper board industry, waste water treatement and gas exploration. In the fifties, when the first gas exploration took place, MF Börger contributed to the constructin of the first drill installation. Nowadays MF Börger still works to realize and maintain the gas exploration installations.
In the mid nineties MF Börger, with Jansen & Heuning, founded a sister company in Poland. Here the company mainly produces (standard) products to supply the shipbuilding industry. Besides this the company also produces customized products.
In the past years, the company has increasingly developed into machining work in addition to the existing products. CNC and conventional turning and milling are indispensable.
More service and maintenance
The number of employees hasn’t increased massively, however the composition of our team has changed. Now our employees mainly exist out of service and maintenance engineers and mechanics: all round and independents proffesionals who are applied for repairs, renovations and adjustments in machines and constructions more and more often.
